When it comes to YouTube sensations. I find that most videos can be measured on a sliding scale of Entrancement vs. Repulsion. The higher a video can entrance your senses with disbelief/confusion/sheer audacity, the less it matters how much it would repulse you in your everyday life -- that is, whatever you do that isn't in front of a computer screen searching blindly for entertainment at 3AM. The scale could help to explain the perplexing reality that a video translating the innermost thoughts of your cat is currently one of the all-time most viewed thing on YouTube.
But it's still not yet an exact science. Let's just say this video from South African rappers Die Antwoord pretty much breaks even on said scale. It's like it knows how bad it is, and in so doing, makes it glorious. Enjoy, however begrudgingly.
