Upon rewatching Guess Who's Coming to Dinner for an upcoming post (you'll see), I was struck by one thing and one thing alone. The old man in Up is basically a cartoon version of sexagenarian Spencer Tracy, which gives Pixar a street cred that not even basing a character on mythic Hollywood costumer Edith Head could snag.
This revelation is made of win.
